Welcome to Grizzly Mountain Soaps. Our unique soap is made from buffalo tallow(rendered fat). Our soap is made here on the Flathead Indian Reservation in western Montana. No animals are harmed for the making of our soap. The tallow we use is reclaimed. It is normally thrown away and as was the tradition of the Native Americans, we believe that nothing should be wasted. Inspired by this tradition, we purchase the tallow and give it new life in our soaps. Most commercial soaps are made from pork and beef tallow. The difference is buffalo tallow has no growth hormones. Buffalo tallow makes a luxurious, softening soap. It far outlasts commercial soaps. Our soaps are hand wrapped in fabric. They smell wonderful. And buffalo soap is amazing on the skin. It feels silky and rinses clean. GMS is a family business consisting of my Mother, myself, and my 14 yr. old son. We have been making soap for 10 years. We love it and continue to learn with each passing year. Thank you.
