I recently purchased the Spring 2011 issue of Take Ten Magazine, and you can imagine how surprised I was when,as I was flipping through it, I saw that 2 of mt greeting cards hed been published! WOW!! I can't tell you how great it feels to have my artwork chosen out of all the submissions they receive everyday,plus seeing my artwork featured next to such talented artists work! Thank-You! As promised-I'm finally adding new types items to my EVER EXPANDING store!! Today I've added my FIRST mini birdhouse and I really hope everyone will stop by and have a look!(I'm so sorry about the bad photo-I'm working on improvements!!).They are really cute and I'll be adding more as I create them.I started making/decorating birdhouses about 5 yrs. ago and people really liked them,but 2 yrs. ago I came up with the idea to start putting mosaics on their roofs to kind of mimic shingles,and people LOVED that! I've been an avid birdwatcher most of my life and I love to decorate in and around my home all things "birdwatching" I top-coat them so their safe to hang up outside,but,unfortunately,they're too small for real birds to take up occupancy in!! Howdy! I'm kicking off April by adding a bunch of NEW creations, and I've also gone through my inventory(WHEW!!),and I've marked quite a few cards down in price! Especially my Easter cards.I think they should be clearanced BEFORE,not after the holiday,right? Anyhow,this Arizona weather has been quite hard to adjust to-especially for someone whose lived most of her life in IOWA!! It already feels like August here!Oh-well,I'm finding theres beauty & inspiration even in the desert! I hope some of you can stop by my little store and have a look around at my new stuff! I've looked around at other stores recently & I must say theres some really beautiful things being offered! Hello-My name is Lisa and I recently opened a store,(Nice 2 Greet You!Handmade cards,bookmarks & tags),here at Shophandmade. This is my first REAL attempt at selling my creations, and I'm really looking forward to this next big adventure in my everchanging life this past year!! I'm especially looking forward to hopefully making new friends with others who love & appreciate homeade things as much as I do! This past year has been full of changes for me, I moved from Iowa to Arizona for one thing! Getting used to the Desert was something else! WHEW!! Anyway,I won't bore you with all my 'new' adjustments-but I just wanted to introduce myself.I'm interested in joining a market as well.(?)
