Welcome to the Phire's Stones store:
Welcome to Phire's Stones! A collection of mostly one-of-a-kind handmade fine jewlery and accessories. I personally design and fabricate every piece. Components are either fabricated by me or hand selected by me. For over 30 years I have crafted various items for friends and family. I semi-retired in 2010 and by the end of 2011 decided I want to take my creations to a larger audience. Most pieces offered are silver plate or gold filled but they are available in solid silver or solid gold. All prices are for plated/filled components unless otherwise stated. Solid precious metals increases the price considerably. Have something in mind and cannot find it? I do commissions as well. Please look around and let me know what you think!

Parenting and Progress
Well I have not had as much time as I had planned to work on pretty things. Obtained my new kiln and many suppporting accessories from AZ Gems and Beads in Prescott Valley, AZ. Great people and easy to work with. No Web presence, but we have dealt with them for decades.
We completely understand their lack of Web presence. It's a lot of work and many many hours to photograph, catalog, describe things. With their inventory, the effort is measured in man-years.
Three days after picking up the new kiln I returned to full time regular employment, not doing Jewelry. Not originally in the plan. But my kids are all responsible, hard working adults and make me very proud. But they can use a hand, financially. I could offer them help if I was drawing a paycheck like when they were growing up. But not with me on a fixed budget. So I struggled with it and decided to go back to work.
As much as I hate to admit it, I am a parent first, Hermit somewhere down the list. Adding inventory here has been a challenge. Items I have, several dozen more. Time to photograph and a describe is what is lacking. I just can't do the 20-hour days like I used to.
My wife of 30 years is off traveling the next 10 days, so maybe I'll get some pictures taken since I can leave things set up and ready to go.

This store does not belong to any markets.
Markets are collections of stores which have decided to group themselves together.
Markets may be stores with similar products, stores from a particular region, stores that hold a common belief, or perhaps they are just friends.
Markets are a wonderful way to find new stores and new products.

Back from Tucson and some new Baubles
Our trip to the Tucson Gem show was a lot of fun. Stayed with friends who live there so we missed out on the chaos that reigns in the Hotels. Which is a good thing for us. I had heard that vendor attendance was down, but it was not at all evident. Still most anything from anywhere was available.
"Retirement" is a good thing. I actually managed to stay within budget! A first for me.
More baubles coming this way in the next few days. Mostly from storage. Make these treadures, sit on them for decades and it becomes hard to part with them. But we are getting the camera and lights out to take the pictures and put them up anyway.
Happy shopping!

Raided my chest of odd stuff and TGMS
G'day! Well I finally raided my treasure chest (read as boxes) of past projects and odd stuff. And here are some of the treasures found within. Colorful pieces for Spring and summer. Some esoteric efforts for various festivals and Carnival. And a very special Medicine Bag who told me it was time for it to move on.
We will be away from the stock for a few days as we travel South for the Tuscon Gem and Mineral Show, which started last weekend and runs less formal for another week. No telling what I might bring back this time around.
