My husband and I relocated our family from Baltimore, Maryland to South Florida in 2005, along with his sister and brother and their families. Shortly after moving here, at the age of forty, my sister-in-law was diagnosed with breast cancer.
After radical surgery and chemotherapy treatment at the Boca Raton Community Hospital, she is doing well and living life to the fullest. As a survivor she continues to gain and give support to other women through her wonderful friendships with her BRCH support group.
Already a jewelry artisan, I've been inspired to create pieces that will brighten the lives of survivors, their families, and their friends, as well as participate in the fight for a cure.
