This purse was made entirely using recycled materials! The purse was crocheted using VHS tape. Really! (IN fact, it was a Seinfeld episode!) The button is salvaged from another project, and the strap is gold cord rescued from being put into the scrap bin at a local fabric shop. VHS tape is very lightweight, yet surprisingly strong and extremely durable! With the look of patent leather, it is a fashion accessory that goes equally well with jeans or dress up. No one will know that it's made from VHS tape, though you'll want to tell them, I'll bet!
